Greetings to
people interested in te details for the Maine Medical Marijuana Use Program:
I am pasting
below the notice that will be published in the paper announcing that the
emergency rules for the Maine Medical Marijuana Use Program have been
posted. Details of all aspects of the program are contained in the
rules. The website for this posting is: www.maine.gov/dhhs/dlrs
Emergency rules
allow the Department to move ahead with patient and caregiver registration
by July 1, 2010, as required by the new law.
The rules detail how the first eight dispensaries will be selected,
one in each public health district. Also posted are the
instructions and application form for applying to be chosen as one of the 8 dispensaries.
If you have
specific questions about any aspect of the rules, you must e-mail
the Director of the Division of Licensing and Regulatory Services.

for Distributing Marijuana for Medical Use
Request
for Applications
The Maine Department of
Health and Human Services, Division of Licensing and Regulatory Services,
announces an open application period for non-profit corporations to apply to
become dispensaries for growing and dispensing prepared marijuana to
registered patients under the Maine Medical Use of Marijuana Act.
Emergency rules governing the
program were adopted on May 5, 2010. The rules and all application materials are
available at www.maine.gov/dhhs/dlrs,
or may be obtained in written form by contacting the Division of Licensing and
Regulatory Services by phone at (207) 287-9300, 1-800-791-4080, or by writing
